What if the Holy Spirit put a need in front of you right now, could you respond?  Would you respond?

The Bible reminds us that everything we have is a gift from God.  We are simply stewards or managers of what He’s placed in our hands.

We have a wonderful privilege to accomplish a few things with our generosity.

We are making an investment in something that has eternal value and that will outlive us.  It’s a great way to leave a legacy. Leaving a legacy is not about living forever, but instead creating something that will.

Others are also blessed because of your generosity.  Paul gives us great insight to how we should give in 2 Corinthians 9:7-10

2 Corinthians 9:7-10 (NLT)
7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”

If we are honest, most people have a desire to live a generous life. They just aren’t sure they can afford it.  So many are SICK of CARRYING THE WEIGHT that comes from their current financial situation.

What could you accomplish if you were finally free?

Would you want that? If you do, what’s your plan?

A recent Gallop poll showed that only 1 in 3 Americans prepare a detailed monthly budget.

That means that…

2 out of 3 Americans have no plan for making sure they spend less than they make on a month-to-month basis. That’s a scary thought!

Here’s a scarier one:

If you aren’t being faithful with what you have in your hands right now, why would God ever trust you with more?

“If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”
